sleepy writing

I was feeling sleepy after a busy weekend, so rather than jump right into my daily routine, if there is such a thing, I sat here and composed some thoughts, but the electricity went out just as I was going to post. Battery powered lap top to the rescue.
I doubt I can rewrite the original, however, I did want to ask if anyone knows of religious texts other than the Bible that were written over a few centuries time, by several authors rather than by just one?
