I was listening to a radio program tonight on the subject of true and false gods. It was mentioned that we should never try to put an image to God, etc. As the program went on I realized how different their perception of God was to mine. I can't quite comprehend the nothingness of our creator, however, Moses, the "seer" discovered the nothingness of man, after seeing God face to face.

About prayer in general - - Do you think of God as your nearest and dearest friend, or compare Him to a person who loves you so much and who knows you so well, that he understands your very deepest need before you express it, or how about a loving Father who would never give you a stone when you pray for bread - -

Have you ever opened your scripture (whatever you call scripture) and claimed a particular verse as your prayer and blessing for that day? Scriptures are written poetically, and are of the spirit. Scripture transcends time and what is written to one, is written to all. Hymns are prayers too.

Other seers may be defined as such, and perhaps they do see into the past and the future, but I would not trust them if they were doing it for money or fame. Only to bear witness of the divinity of God and glory be to God, not to man, the seer.
But according to the definitions I have quoted, there is more than one kind of seer. Even though I may not trust all of them, I do accept them, and acknowledge their wisdom and understanding. I can learn from them. I can learn from everyone. I can also teach.
