> OK, at least a few of us here have had troubles for years now. I can think of all sorts of reasons to hate my body, and to despise myself for every bite I eat, and every pound I see the scale edge up. What i have more trouble with is coming up with reasons to recover. What say we exchange some reasons here, and see if that helps?

I don't think that's a healthy reason to want to recover, though. Does someone else out there have any ideas?Maybe healthy reasons to want to recover are not only a healthy body, but also a healthy mind. I know when I was restricting in the past (no longer do it), I felt like crap emotionally and mentally. So, for me, eating - regularly and healthy - meant being happier, fitter, more active and actually feeling better about myself, even though I wasn't skinny, skinny.
I think Maxime hit the nail on the head - recovery means getting ones life back.
