First off, have you considered seeing a dietitian? Sometimes insurance will pay for it, if it's "medically necessary," and if you remind them it's a ton cheaper for them than bariatric surgery -- which most do cover. (What the heck is up with that? They'll pay tens of thousands for surgery, but not a couple of grand for dietitians?)
Also, specific foods can be triggers for people with eating disorders, so I try to avoid writing about any specific food. That's me, but it is helpful -- kinda like no numbers relating to weight. Too triggering for a lot of people.
Anyway, back to meal plans. Weight loss is usually on the Health board, with the emotional side of it here. We usually talk about ways to motivate ourselves to work towards recovery. Comfort eating is a type of eating disorder, so people here are likely to have a lot of support to offer, but the specifics of losing weight are probably better handled on the Health board.
