Richard Ford and Andrei Makine

Andrei Makine was wonderful, saying 'mass media has turned us into zombies' and 'we are governed by barbarians'.
Richard Ford was very dry and funny.
I'd never read his books, and suppose I won't even now, being unable to get through fiction.
