I've only had the book a little over a week. I guess I am fortunate because I already have some experience with insight (Vipassana) meditation, which is a big part of gaining awareness of the body, without which we cannot understand our feelings or our mind. Without which we cannot know ourselves in order to accept ourselves.
I've been meditating a few times this week. I just stood up, in fact. I know that there is some very deep stuff that I am very afraid of. The fear is almost overwhelming. almost. It is so hard to accept it for what it is. So hard not to feel eternally blemished by this fear. So easy to resist the fear. so hard NOT to resist the fear.
but it feels like the right thing to do.
now if I could get down to the "embracing" part. That part is a skill that I have very little experience with. A skill that was not valued or nurtured in my "family of origin"
hugs for my fear. I dunno. a work in progress for sure.
