I can't remember which of them it was in, but it's either "Love in a Cold Climate," or "The Pursuit of Love." One of them includes a character called something like the Chubb Fuddler.
But to answer your question, a Chubb Fuddler fuddles chubb...
Man, sometimes I make myself laugh. (Good thing, too, since it saves anyone else the trouble of laughing at some of what I come up with...)
I hope you're enjoying those books, by the way. I enjoy them a lot. If you can find them, there are a couple of other books by Nancy Mitford that are very good, too. I like "Pigeon Pie," for instance.
