So, what has Nikki read recently..
Two books around accepting change - one was forced one me by my boss, and one was reccomended so I bought as a gift for my boss.
The first was "Who moved my cheese". Quite cheesy (aside from the cheese!), but does contain some useful advice.
The other is quite lovely.. very sweet indeed, and rung *very* true with me in parts "The Knight in Rusty Armor".Both are small, easy reads.. and I do reccomend them - especially "The Knight in Rusty Armor".
I've just finished "Her Name Was Lola" by Russell Hoban. A friend of my husbands from Scotland visited, and we spent alot of time discussing books, and he highly reccomended this to me.. I loved it. I didn't think it was going to do much for me after the first chapter, but then it really quickly sucked me in.. Its set in London, and "magical realism", which is an idea which I loved, so I was kind of expecting it to let me down. I was thrilled it didn't.
What else. Some Sci Fi short stories written by friends of my husband at http://dead-channel.net/, "Jo's Boys" which I picked up in a second hand store! Oh, and "Does Anything Eat Wasps?" for some useless information *laughing*
There must be more.. I shall continue pondering!
