I was desperate for a reading fix and bought the Michael Crichton paperback of "State of Fear".
As I read it, I felt like I landed on a planet not of this universe. The premise of the book is interesting and challenging (I'm being polite here). The plot itself, though, is baffling to try to follow. I cannot believe how the author has used little cookie cutters for his character development. It was an utter disappointment.I should have known better than to expect something good to read at CVS beyond the back of a tissue box...
