Mrs. Norris wasn't dead, she was petrified. She received the same juice from the plant that Hermione did and the others that were petrified. Remember that she saw the reflection from the water from the toilet. And she was hung, not nailed to the wall.
I think the initials stand for Regules Black - Sirius' brother, who was a death eater and then turned back against Voldemort. I think the locket in the black house that couldn't be opened is the real locket...(remember, when they were cleaning)
I don't think Fawkes can bring back the dead, just heal wounds. It would have been good if he had tried to get in the way though, huh? If I remember book 4, there is no way to escape the unforgivable killing curse except duck -- remember Harry is the only one ever to survive being hit with it?
I've decided they should release the preedited edition for us. What do you think?
