Um..

A solar powered generator
laptop with hookup to satelite internet (tis would cover me for world news, music (as ofcourse, my ITunes will be full of my favourite stuff) and books to read *L*)
a good knife.. preferably a top of the range leatherman multu tool would be good (this was originally speakers, but I decided I sharp tool was more important.. plus, my laptop will have good intermnal sound card and good quality onboard speakers!!)
Water purification kits
A fire spark
