Extending the metaphor: MaltOMeal books!

Posted by Racer on May 8, 2005, at 23:14:35

I just came up with that to describe books that have plenty of nutritional value, but are so good they're almost like junk food!

I was thinking of Carolly Erickson's books, like "Our Tempestous Day", or her biographies like "Great Harry". They're good historical biographies, and they are very pleasant to read.

Antonia Fraser is in the same catagory. I loved "Warrior Queens" when I read it, and read "Mary, Queen of Scots" a couple of times over the years.

What do you think? Another food metaphor!
