One of the classics in the field is "The Drama of the Gifted Child" by Alice Miller. It's well worth reading for one perspective on the matter.

I'm not an expert on the subject, since I've done most of my recovering via therapy rather than books, but I did read most of Miller's work about fifteen years ago, and will recommend it. Beyond that, I guess if you can be a bit more specfic about what you're looking for -- insight, psychological theory, workbooks, etc -- someone here will be able to recommend more.

Good luck.
