Creativity leading the way

Posted by pud44uk on January 7, 2005, at 21:40:27

Hi my name is Sue. I have had manic depression for over 14 year it has been a struggle to say the least. I have had much support over that time, from sites like here counsellors, psychologists, currently seeing a good one. My husband and son have stood by me throughout and I have made some good friends.

Today is a good day!

When I was really ill I would reach out and hope someone, something would steer me in the right direction, and more often than not they did.

That is why I am here to hopefully offer a glimmer of hope to someone on his or her own path who is currently struggling.

I write poetry and sculpt to help me to deal with stuff. I have made a simple website about me and my poems which you can access on www.freewebs.com/manicpoet/ which will also tell you about my poetry book that I feel I have been privileged to have published, I feel it is my testimony to the strength of the human spirit to overcome all that it finds upon its path.

During my journey I discovered that we all have our own amazing stories we just need to believe in ourselves, if only for one moment the rest will follow naturally.

I met a particularly amazing guy who helped me to see how truly amazing my life story was. That guy’s name is Jason Pegler you can find out more about him at www.chipmunkapublishing.com

I hope you don’t mind me telling you about him and his story the rest is up to you.

Review of “A Can of Madness” by Jason Pegler

Jason Pegler tells it as it was for him. A totally honest portrayal of life with manic depression, not leaving anything out, not even those deeply personal parts you wouldn’t want to share. Jason reveals mental illness in a way that others may try to gloss over, for this Jason has my respect. Jason offers realism, awareness and a sense of acceptance that despite a psychiatric history he will leave his mark upon the world.

I may not come this way again, and that is, as it should, I am just a signpost, offering hope.

If you discover my web page just drop me a note, or if you have a story, as I know you have just tell Jason that I sent you

May God bless you all

Suex
