Excellent and moving account of a sudden bout of near-suicidal depression by a great writer. Styron also contributed a story that's in "Unholy Ghost: Writers on Depression" compiled by Nell Casey. I've mentioned it to many people and have yet to find anyone who read it - really surprising. Real stories by real people, all written eloquently by writers and poets. Very moving and enlightening. I highly recommend both books.
