Vacation reading

Posted by Noa on August 17, 2004, at 18:55:22

I'm just back from a relaxing vacation. While at the beach, I read "The Catcher in the Rye"; a children's book called "All Alone in the Universe" by Lynn Perkins; and am about 1/3 of the way through "Life of Pi", which is fantastic! I also read a couple of essays from David Sedaris's "Me Talk Pretty One Day", which are very entertaining. And I almost forgot, have you seen the NY Times new summer reading feature? I read "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (Truman Capote) in daily installments. That was fun! They also put out "The Great Gatsby" and "Like Water for Chocolate", but I missed those. I don't know what the feature is this week, though. I think this books in installments feature is fantastic.
