An admitted Margaret Atwood fan

...and NO IT'S NOT BECAUSE I'M CANADIAN! But she is a living treasure of the nation.
I finished "Oryx and Crake" and it reaffirmed my belief that this author can turn her hand to any genre and write a compelling story. It brought to mind John Brenner's "Stand On Zanzibar", another seminal work. Also many works by Marge Piercy, who can transcend being pigeonholed as a writer. My heroines.

I really love well written speculative fiction.
