Tom Robbins is a nut! And his books are too good for words! His first was "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues". This one centers around the main character finding himself in a "nunnery" in a very hot climate and the relationship that he develops with one of the nuns. And then there is the relationship with the very young girl at home and an Amazon parrot that he tries to set free. And in the midst of all this he can never let his feet touch the ground again!(the invalid part) You must read it. It would be a nice accompaniment to Hunter S. Thompson. He sure is a piece of work!

I think I will check out "Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates". I like to be pleasantly surprised with nutty fiction and odd music. I don't often have two books going at the same time (except when I was in school :).
