Is it just Germany or do newspapers and tv shows in your country denounce Supplements, too? How useless are these reports? And then people read or view these reports and then they think they found the oracle?
Supplements improved me. I know because when i discontinue them i feel alot worse. The cleanest antidepressant i have ever taken is 150 daily grams of blueberries. You heard that right. Its pretty useful. I have gotten one buddy on a german Bodybuilding website to do it daily and he thinks it helps, too. This is all anecdotal evidence of course. But i can tell you there are people that dont want you to find easy fixes like blueberries or whatever because it will mean that less people buy their pharmaceuticals. For this reason these stupid reports come up all the time. I mean "all supplements are useless!" Seriously?
The logic "if there was anything good out there for depression, we would know" is flawed. Nobody studies natural approaches because they cant generate $$$. The media and even doctors purposefully denounce them.
There are people that dont want you to find natural antidotes for your psychological problems because they cant make money from that! Thats why they spread fake news and fear mongering "Supplements are dangerous" to keep you from taking them. Its like saying water is dangerous. Because if you get too much, you will die.
So thats why, in my opinion you wouldnt necessarily know if there is something that helps. Not automatically anyway.
I am always dumbfounded at how people think that psychemeds are their last and only hope. There is so much else, that can be done.
Hormones, Supplements, Superfoods, spices, activities.. I could go on and on.
Dont get me wrong, the meds are useful often, but i just dont expect them to bring me into remission on their own. Its very rare.
Hope this helps some folks out there that are in despair.
