Thanks. I appreciate your support and input. There is much about orthomolecular psychiatry that I am clueless about.

My interest in resveratrol lies in its reported ability to inhibit PDE4 (phosphodiesterase type 4). Inhibition of this enzyme increases the amount of cytosolic (cell fluid) cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate). cAMP acts in neurons as a "second messenger", and participates in a cascade of events that lead to changes in gene transcription. In other words, resveratrol can act as a mood modulator.
