Thanks for the information on brexpiprazole. I hope that it will indeed turn out that brexpiprazole will be significantly less likely to induce akathisia than aripiprazole (Abilify). I think that the makers of Abilify and brexpiprazole (Otsuka and Lundbeck, if my understanding is correct) will stand to profit substantially from introducing a newer version of Abilify right around the time the older medication will be going off patent in the U.S., and I just hope that the newer medication will have some distinct advantages over the older medication that will make it worthwhile for patients.
