I've found that niacinamide is helpful for anxiety, at least over the long haul (not so much short-term--you might want to see about an Rx tranquilizer for immediate relief).
Anyway, I used to take 6grams daily (2grams, 3xdaily), now I'm down to 3grams plus 6 grams taurine and some other stuff. I feel OK.
