I think just short of diarrhea is the right amount.
As constipation is a side effect of some meds, it doesn't hurt to have a daily BM.
I definitely feel a muscle relaxant effect, some anti-anxiety, and my body seems to be responding to workouts differently. I feel more "solid" in a good way.
I'm trying a lower dose of Seroquel for now, since I seem to be able to have a different quality of sleep while taking magnesium.
I should add that my diet is rather poor and limited due to a lack of proper kitchen facilities. I end up eating a lot of cheap white rice and greasy food. I try to make up for it with fresh fruit, veggies and whole wheat bread, oatmeal.
Also, my girlfriend has become anxious and depressed over the past 4-5 months, partially due to her frustration with my illness. The week before her period can often lead to a breakdown for her. I'm starting her on magnesium, B6, folic acid, niacin, and a little 5-htp, all at night. Last night was the first night on this regimen, and she slept better.
