I have some very stubborn brown spots on my face. I think they are melasma from taking birth control pills for many years. (I no longer take them, but the spots are still there despite trying various products.) I know that tyrosine is involved in melanin production, but the science is above my head so I thought I'd ask you guys about it. It seems like my skin is even splotchier since I started dabbling with tyrosine, but I could just be imagining it. I definitely don't want to continue if it might be a possible side effect, though. I plan to research other dopaminergic alternatives for my apathy. Things on my list to learn more about are mucuna, TMG, NADH, and theanine. I might up my fish oil dose too, since I'm only taking 1200 mg now.
