At the risk sounding selfish or annoying others with another mercury filling thread, I'm trying to rule out causes of my medical/mental health problems and need to know this (I have 2 mercury dental fillings). Are there any chemistry people who care to respond?
If the mercury in your fillings is vaporizing - then how does any matter remain in the filling in the long run?
I'm very skeptical about running out and getting the 2 fillings replaced that have been in my teeth for 20+ years, and I can't afford to spend the little resources I have unwisely.
Doesn't that pertain to the general properties of matter?..Where matter can't be in 2 places at once; therefore, when the mercury vaporizes (as others have said the fillings give off mercury vapors) - it leaves the filling area. In time, there will be no mercury left in the filling. ?
Please do not suggest that I read a book (I have a pile of books in front of me-half of which should have been read or started). Can anyone please just answer this question?
Thanks~
