I bought the Alpha-Stim CES product several months back on recommendation of my therapist. The "machines" sell for $500, but I got it for half price. I gave it a good go, using it for hours a day for two months. In the end, I would have to rate the device as pretty much worthless for my GAD. Of course, you wouldn't know that from reading all the "studies" on their Internet site that Alpha-Stim was worthless. It seems like the miracle cure-all for all mental disorders, according to their "studies." But as I suspected, it turned out to be another snake oil.
I also bought the MindAlive light-sound product w/CES from a Canadian company. It uses flashing lights and sound waves to relieve depression, anxiety, ADD, insomnia, etc. Like Alpha-Stim, it was equally expensive, had equally persuasive "studies" on its Internet site backing it up, and produced equally worthless results for me.
How disappointing.
Anyone here get results from either of these two "machines?" I'd be curious to know.
