magnesium/calcium/zinc

Posted by g_g_g_unit on April 13, 2008, at 7:37:21

sorry I realize that this has been covered in earlier threads, but I was having difficulty arriving at a definitive answer on the issue of calcium / magnesium supplementation after parsing them. The last time I tried magnesium it was as a glycinate powder in a high quality brand that included riboflavin etc. I recall feeling basically cured for about a week but then that effect quickly left. Is that a normal reaction once stabiliZation is achieved? Also I think the powder contained a small amount of calcium, but how does one know when extra supplementation is required? My dietary intake is low. Finally I've tested low for zinc. A naturopath said a pure zinc supplement is fine if youre maintaining levels, but it needs to be taken in a complex if youre trying to increase levels. . Is that true?
