It's obvious from your postings that you are a knowledgeable pioneer in the field of natural alternatives to medications for bipolar and other illnesses that we all share.
Your pioneering in this field gives me hope; my apologies if the questions below are questions already asked and answered, but it's not always easy to find FAQs already posted.
Can you suggest a dosage and combo that might work for my mixed or rapid cycling bipolar II, currently depressed, that could completely replace the meds I'm on? (I will certainly consult with my pdoc, but your advice would mean alot to me)
Would you start by taking them all at once, or more slowly to see the effect that each one has?
Has any natural alternative you've tried "lasted"; by that I mean, had long term efficacy? Or is it similar to meds - a merry-go-round, and if you're lucky, you can find a combo that will last a year or two before you relapse?
Are you currently taking anything that has worked for you for a long time?
I have tried trypothan to augment my prozac, but it did not seem to have any noticeable effect on my depression; in fact I seem to be sinking lower.
I've not yet tried the taurine and glycine combo for my mood instability, in part because I am in a dark place right now, and need to focus on lifting myself out of this spot.
Thanks for responding; I feel like I am running out of options.
