Its called siberian ginseng and its in wiki:

Its an adaptogen and said to be more 'feminine' than ginseng proper (there's another type of ginseng called panax ginseng), whatever that means (my herbalist said that).
Anyway, its not the same as Rhodiola rosea either. Look on the bottles - any supplement worth taking should have the species name (usually in italics) written on it.
Hmm. I would exercise caution with combining herbs with ensam. I don't think there's enough research out there. Perhaps if you have a pdoc well versed in conventional and alternative pschiatry it would be okay (Dr Hyla Cass being one such pdoc) but they are obviously few and far between.
