I liked it enough to order again, but then quit taking it after I developed a breast cyst. It gave me some bad moments because I wasn't sure it WAS just a cyst. I went to the doctor and she said, "Yup, it's a lump. See the breast surgeon. That'll be $75." And me with no insurance. Instead, I went to a bargain book store and purchsed Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book, read it carefully and thought my lump was most likely a cyst. I quit taking maca since it had coincided with that, and cysts wax and wane with periods due to estrogen surge. The lump went down considerably with discontinuing maca and is gone now completely.
I concluded that the maca had increased estrogen, perhaps in a not-so-good manner, or I wouldn't have had the cyst. Just guessing, but I've been afraid to take it since.
I just noticed that bottle recently and have wondered how it would feel now. I could use some estrogen nowadays! This bottle must be at least a couple years old now though.
Happy Holidays to you too. :)
