Just wanted to make some comments on gaba.I see the thread but thought it better to just part from it.
First tons of debate goes on as to how much gaba crosses in the brain from over the counter supplemntal gaba.
Most verdicts suggest very little,and at the doses you need to do so your prob gonna create more anxiety,excess gaba is know to produce red cheeks,and tingling and some pretty bad anxiety.
This of course is not to say there are people who find other wise.But for the most part.
As far as getting gaba,l theanine is very popular for that,in japan its in gum,it also has other benifits such as increasing the calming waves of the brain and preventing aganist excitaotry nueron firing,remedyfind,wikipedia are places that explain this.
Along with that,picamilion,gaba attatched to niacin,is a very popular supplement right now.
Last but not least,phenibutt is a very POWERFUL supplement that affects gaba,many ghb users use this for withdrawal,it is not a light product.
Taurine among other co foactors,certain b`s and aminos also play a role in overall gaba production.
With drugs,many of them affect gaba,but i think,i am not positive,that gabitril is the main one that actualy increases gaba,i believe the other ones,the anti convulasants just effect gaba,and sodium channels.
Gaba isnt as simple as you think,its not always the answer,and a accumaltion of gaba can lead to worsened anxiety and depression,i recomend increasing gaba be done very slow,it can cause tremondous depression in some.Valarion root for example in my own case effects gaba,and i cant stand the stuff,it makes me want to jump out a window.
Benzos do a lot more than increase gaba,and would require reading up on as they have multi functions.
