I really don't know what to say, as the literature is full of confounds. Rice bran oil, the parent for the ferulic acid/gamma oryzanol, contains only small amounts of this mixture of substances. It's really a complex mixture of plant steroids, and their ferulic acid esters.

If it works, it works. Just watch for adverse effects. Plan occasional "holidays" from the substance, if you can manage that. Traditional use of this substance is never long-term, so there is no supporting evidence for using it that way.
