I've taken piracetam and aniracetam. They do make for clarity of thought, although the effect is somewhat grating. Along the same lines is centrophenoxine (only took it once). Big doses of piracetam would send me to bed, like an innapropriate antidepressant. I took a half dose of aniracetam (1 tab in the morning), and that was allright.
