Hi -
I had really good results with high EPA fish oil when I reduced all the other fats in my diet which is really hard to do! If I was taking in less omega 6 I was generally much better. However, I did find that anxiety was still a problem on fish oil - sometimes moreso than usual which bothered me. I found adding in some GLA very good for the anxiety, but it was easy to be pushed into depression with GLA.
These days I take less fish oil and try to eat more fish, and take magnesium as that has helped me more. However, if I am having a really bad day emotionally (depression) then I will immediately take more fish oil.
I still think it is really good for the brain - might stop deterioration in the long run?
