I find that anything that thins my blood can cause tinnitus. I know SJW has an effect in this regard.
Increasing norepinephrine may bring your attention out of your head and into the world about you.
I don't know if that makes sence, but I know when I take a stimulant like cofee, all of a sudden I start to hear things in the environment.
