Wellbutrin did increase my blood pressure, but since my blood pressure was on the low side before, that wasn't a major problem. I went from around 115/75 up about 5-10 points. My blood pressure did drop back down to normal again after going off Wellbutrin.
I also started sleeping better after going off of the Wellbutrin. Insomnia has been a big battle for me, even with Xanax.
But my major concerns are any lingering effects of being on a drug like Wellbutrin long-term(possible permanent downregulation, etc.).
So, since I have to start over anyway, it just seemed like an amino acid might be a better (more natural/less damaging) option. And, possibly, the amino acid could be fixing a problem that the Wellbutrin is just "band-aid"ing. I don't know. I just thought it was worth getting the advise of someone who knew more about it than I do.
