I've been taking Lactoferrin on and off for past few months..more off than on..but I feel its helping me a lot too.
It helps with iron metabolism I think?
My ferritin is finally coming up to almost bottom of normal and I suspect this has helped. Its supposed to lower the free iron I think and prevent oxidation stuff and help immune system by lowering the iron I think. Maybe it also helps build up ferritin which I could never do properly. I'd absorb the iron, and my ironlevels would go above range..but my ferritin would not come up much...and I'd have the oxidation, high iron symptoms which were not nice!My anxiety too went sky high and I felt like lashing out at one stage, and I think maybe it was partly the high iron.
I reckon it may help a few here with anxiety type problems as I'm over the horrible anxiety - panic I had.. well, it's a LOT better :-)
I can't work out exactly what it does , but I think its worth a good look at!
Love to hear from anyone else who's tried lactoferrin.
http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2001/apr2001_report_lacto.htmlAt the same time as the lactoferrin I also tried a colostrum whey concentrate the doc gave me, so I'm not sure..but it also has lactoferrin as part of it.
Here's the lactoferrin I tried.

The "apo" one is supposed to lower iron, but my iron levels are fine now..and my ferritin is rising.
Not sure if ferritin is finally rising as my iron were high (over top of range on blood tests)for a while or from the lactoferrin or something else, and its all just coincidence! So love to hear from anyone else who has tried lactoferrin:-)
