managenese is certainly worth trying; its cheap and harmless. The most interest seems to be focused on the antioxidants, since some docs think TD results from an oxidative stress induced by antipsychotics. The studies on Vitamin E are kind iffy; some point to helpful effects, some dont, and there are all kinds of problems with the studies themselves. Anyway, Vitamin E @ 1600 IU daily seems to be the *it* dose for TD. Lecithin may also help, as might a number of other antioxidants...alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q-10, that kinda thing. The B vitamins might also help. As for medication...Klonopin seems pretty popular, but it isnt that effective. "masking" TD with neuroleptics is a popular strategy, especially now that atypical antipsychotics can be used that are less likely to worsen the TD than older drugs. Personally, I'd try Abilify if you're going the neuroleptic route. Its non-sedating and seems to control TD pretty well. Clozaril controls TD, but its pretty hardcore, and often requires the administration of anti-seizure drugs such as Depakote that worsen sedation and other problems.
