In reply to New finding! Wheat germ oil..., posted by LOOPS on June 1, 2005, at 20:11:33
How much fish oil do you take? What is the breakdown? What brand has the highest amount per pill so I don't have to take like 10 a day? Are you familiar with Purity Products Omega 3 (they're sending me a free bottle to try)? They "claim" to have in just two softgels (500 mg DHA, 650 EPA), the Omega-3 power that you typically would find in 4 softgels in other brands.
I could use an energy boost. I'm taking so many supplements now, including fish oil (albeit only 1200/mg/day), but there are days I just feel awful, and some nights, especially after I eat, I have a general malaise and odd feelings. I just wish I could have several days in a row where I feel great.
I never see any mention of flaxseed oil. Anyone have any input on that as well?

> In my experimentation with fish oil, I recently found a small bottle of wheat germ oil at the back of my cupboard (not too old either) and thought, as it is supposed to be a good natural source of vitamin E I would start taking it, as vit E capsules, *natural* or not, seem to exacerbate my acne.

> Well it's been about 3 days on this stuff and my energy level has definitely gone up. Plus no acne outbreaks, and I'm wondering if the extra vitamin E isn't making the fish oil work better. Also I have had more energy in my tennis, although of course all this could be a number of things, not just the wheat germ oil.
