> There was a study done recently on omega 3's and uridine on rats, that showed something to the effect of omega 3 and uridine when combined being as efective as some SSRIs. The omega 3's were effective, but when joined with uridine, depression lifted in about ten days. I was so excited when I saw this study. I think the big business will be all over this though, trying to stifle it. As far as I know, there are no uridine aupplements, and I tried to find any information on food sources and learned sugar beets are the only one. At least as far as I know. I can't find them! Does anyone know anything more about this, and if there is any way to find any food source with this in it? I'm thinking big business will want to stifle any info on creating a supplement if using these together can lift depression as well in ten days. I want so much to find something natural to lift the depression I've been under. If anyone knows of any info on this, or anything like this, I would love to hear more! Thanks!!!!!
Uridine is a dimer (two molecules joined) of ribose and uracil. That's ribose as in RNA (ribo-nucleic acid), and the specific NA is uracil. Anything with RNA in it has uridine in it. It's therefore in all sorts of foods, both meat and plant-based. It's true that supplements aren't readily available on the open market, but pure uridine can be bought from chemical supply houses and the like.
