The best amphetamine substitute is, IMHO, high-dose tranylcypromine (Parnate). Shoot for a target dose of 90-200mg/day. If that is not enough, combine it with a NE reuptake inhibitor (reboxetine, desipramine) and/or a dopamine releasing agent (amantadine) and/or a direct DA agonist (bromocriptine, pramipexole, ropinirole, cabergoline).
