Hi Tamara:
Firstly, GABA, by itself, is available in all my local health food stores. Since it is displayed openly on the shelves, I would be surprised if it's restricted at the moment. There's been a constant shift in "what's OK, and what's not" in recent months. Most amino acids are available ('cept tryptophan), Sam-e is now in my local store, too! (It was "banned" for ages). I think the government guidelines are being tested by various importers.I ordered my picamilon online, and had no problems with customs. I can't remember what the package said, something vague, but not untruthful!
Take care,
Jas
