Well, ain't that a b***h. I guess that the shipping of various powders and chemicals is frowned on, with respect to security concerns. Customs officers aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, and how are they to know that e.g. combining acetyl l-carnitine and inositol might not go boom.

I made use of an American friend for a delivery address, and smuggled a big box o' stuff back into Canada. I do not recommend this, but describe it only for its anecdotal value.
