Hi,
I've recently been taking mag supps, and I've noticed that they are giving me several symptoms of low blood sugar; increased appetite, feeling shakey, confusion, slowed difficult speech, nervousness and feeling cold. I have read in many places that low magnesium can lead to insulin resistance, a state where your muscle and fat cells don't give an adequate response to insulin.
So what I am thinking is that with the mag supps I am improving an insulin resistance situation, and this is causing a low blood sugar state. Which I presume will gradually abate as the insulin receptors on the cells gradually re-regulate. Anyone know anything about this stuff, could I be right, or am I talking nonsense?
Also I'm finding my muscles feel like they are puffing out, and my stomach flab is dissapearing, which is quite a welcome effect, and also makes me think of improved insulin function.
