Why not just take an adequate amount of one of them? Doesn't the trimipramine leave you groggy the next day? I used to take doxepin and later on maprotiline and they both left me somewhat groggy. Maprotiline a lot less so. They both also gave me a huge appetite and I wasn't even taking that much. I really don't want to go back on it but I might have to in order to function better.

I currently take 25 mg trimipramine, about .4 mg melatonin, 30 mg temazepam, and about 1.5 grams taurine. Works great. Doxepin, despite its higher histaminic affinity, worked less well than the trimipramine.

Selegeline has helped with cognition and somewhat with physical energy, but made my sleep even more difficult. We shall see, if I can keep using selegeline (5 mg on arising) or not.
