I know a few people who can't tolerate phosphatidylserine, myself included - i get a headache if I just hold it!

I looked on pubmed to see if I could find any clues and came across this abstract...

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15225357

Seems exposure of phosphatidylserine can initiate cell death through apoptosis - I was wondering if people like me can't metabolize it that well or integrate it into cell membranes efficiently enough? Maybe it might then cause neuronal damage?

I do OK with lecithin that has small amounts of phosphatidylserine in it, and get on really well with B12, betaine and folinic acid to help make SAM, as methylation is needed to make phosphatidylserine.
