In reply to central nervous system and SSRI withdrawal, posted by mcp on September 16, 2004, at 14:03:35
> I read that the best thing to do for SSRI withdrawl is to calm the central nervous system. For instance, I take a b complex and that according to what I read is a no no because it ramps it up. Any thoughts? Also, it even said heavy exercise isn't good in this regard. However, exercise is the only thing that has made me feel better so far. Thoughts?
The two things that I believe help most with withdrawal are benadryl (diphenhydramine) for it's antihistamine effect, and taurine, as it opposes glutamate. If exercise is helping, then DLPA as a promoter of phenylethylamine, ought to help.
