> Larry, I don't know what the hell is going on. I am on week 5 of Lexapro withdrawal. For the first 2 weeks I felt really bad. Headaches, dizziness, nausea. THankfully, no zaps. It was slowly abating. Then Tuesay night I started to feel sick. Real sick. Wednesday I could barely get out of bed. Yesterday I was naeseous and dizzy, but a bit better.
Maybe you just got sick. Virus? Food poisoning? Ya know?
Today I feel very week and very naueseous. I take a multi-vitamin, bcomplex, fish oil, vitamin E. I was starting to mix in some niacinimide and magnesium. Oh, and this all started after a gave a three-four day trial of SAM-e at 200 mg a day. Well, I suspect it is just withdrawal manifesting itself in yet another horrible way.
Could be other things, too.
> I took a vitamin today that was way high in daily natural intake. The Vit C was like 333%, E was 333%, B1 was like 600%, B2 like 700%, B6 625%, and B12 416%. This only made me feel worse.
Some people do not feel better on high B-vitamin doses. It may be that they are sensitive to yeast, as an example, as some vitamins (natural source ones in particular) are from yeast grown in a nutrient broth.
The other thing is those percentages are wholly misleading. They are based on the RDA, and that is the minimum dose that keeps people from having overt deficiency symptoms. It is not the optimal dose, by any stretch of the imagination.
I routinely use a B-complex that contains 10,000% of the B-1 RDA, 7,500% of that for B-6, and so on.
> Like I said, I suspect withdrawals, but I was curious if maybe the vitamins and supplements might be playing a role. I am at wits end. This is very scary to be real sick and have no real idea. I know this is common for withdrawals, but this far out?
Maybe it's just that you're sick.
> Could the other things be exacerbating this at all? I really don't want to go to the doctor. I am afraid he will discuss going back on the Lex, which I can't do. I can't afford to go to the ER, but if I keep getting worse it is gonna freak me out even more. ANy suggestions and ideas would be much appreciated.
Ride it out, dude. Just ride it out.
