Fuzzy-headed and foggy on new supplement routine

Posted by zefdie on July 31, 2004, at 17:48:59

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out. I feel like I've been slamming benzos!

I went a little crazy on i-herb, trying to stock up and save on shipping. Once I got the stuff, I decided to take it slow and figured that taking a "multiple brain supplement" (I got Source Naturals' "Higher Minde") was probably expensive and less effective than starting slow with amino acids and individual supplements. There goes 30 bucks! I took one yesterday and then decided to stop. Other than that, here's what I'm taking currently...I've only been doing this a few days:

Nutritional yeast powder (only 1 tablespoon right now -- the serving size is 2)

Solgar Formula VM-75 multiple-vitamin supplement

Flax meal

650 mg scoop of TMG

NADH 5 mg

I'm also taking 200 mg of Provigil a day and am in the process of withdrawing from Effexor, which, strangely, has been very easy for me. I have a persistent headache and feel foggy, but I don't have any of the nightmarish symptoms other people get. Either it's the Provigil or I'm a really hardy specimen, as I've quit smoking in the past with not a single craving or cranky epidode.

I also have l-tryptophan powder on hand but haven't started it yet.

So...any suggestions as to why I'm feeling so doped up? Any suggestions as to how I should be taking these? Empty stomachs or with food? Together or separately? Thanks! Sorry to be so long-winded!

Zefdie

FYI: I have anergic depression with ZERO motivation and a heavy dose of attention difficulty.
