natural progesterone?

In addition to the charming psycholigical crap I have been dealing with lately, I also have come to find that I have a cyst in my right ovary and possible polycystic ovarian syndrome.
I have been told by my p-doc that natural progesterone cream is the way to go. Well, he also told me this 2 years ago, hoping that it would alleviate some depression. I dont' know it it was the brand or what, but it did not work. So why should I imagine that it will work now???
Does anyone use this and have a brand that they recommend? There is just no way of telling if you are getting the real thing or just an expensive moisturizer!
